ABOUT JOULES YARD
This delightfully eccentric and unique venue is a long established jewel (or Joule) on the East Midlands live music scene, hugely popular with both audiences and musicians alike. With top quality music, excellent and inexpensive food, and a very relaxing atmosphere, there is nowhere quite like Joules in the summer months, when, on a sunny day, one can bask at one of the outside tables and almost think oneself in the Mediterranean.
Sadly, early in 2017 it became clear that Joules was no longer viable as a regular music venue and our planned summer season had to be cancelled. However, the popular 3rd Thursday Harborough Acoustic Sessions are continuing and we will still bring you occasional weekend music events, details of which will be posted as they are booked.
Our next weekend event will be on Saturday 17th June, an all day fundraising event to coincide with Ian Joule's birthday, with proceeds going to Cransley Hospice. Details in the panel at the bottom.
HARBOROUGH ACOUSTIC SESSIONS
Now in its 18th year, the monthly Joules open mic night is generally recognised as one of the best in the region. Running every 3rd Thursday and starting at 8pm, all musicians are very welcome to take part, and if you’d like further details please contact organiser Steve Rothero at email@example.com.
Joules Yard can be found down the alley by the side of 53-55 High Street, Market Harborough, Leics. LE16 7AF
Top UK Celtic band Govannen are one of many superb acts who have performed at Joules.
IAN'S BIG BIRTHDAY FUNDRAISER, SATURDAY 17th JUNE, 1pm - 10pm
Our next weekend event at Joules Yard will be a charity event to raise funds for Cransley Hospice in Kettering, which also coincides with Ian Joule's birthday. Music will run from 1pm to 10pm approx and we have a total of fourteen acts booked, all of them regular past performers at the Yard. The bar will be open of course, food will be available until 6pm and there will be a raffle. This promises to be a wonderful day of excellent music when we hope to recapture the glory days of this much-loved venue. Admission is free.
