WORLD PEACE FETE

Set in the fabulous grounds of the Nagarjuna Buddhist Centre at Thornby Hall, Northants, this delightful charity festival, usually held on a Sunday in July, provides a relaxing summer day out for the whole family, with food and craft stalls, kids' events, games, and some terrific local roots music. Kontra has been organising the music for this event since 2008, and in that time it has become a highlight of the local music calendar.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Held in late November, Kontra supplies an entertaining mix of acoustic music to enhance the festive atmosphere.  

A modern, fully equipped hall with 100 capacity in the award winning village of Old, near Northampton (where we also hold Cottage Concerts), this venue is ideal for both concerts and dance bands and in recent years we have built up an enthusiastic audience for quality roots music.

Since 2015, Kontra has been organising quality folk roots festivals at some of the biggest and finest country fairs in the UK. Held in the grounds of popular stately homes and castles, these events are a fantastic opportunity to bring our acts to a wider audience. We'll be posting details of the 2022 season in due course.

We started hosting outdoor events at Northampton's premier music pub during the pandemic summer of 2020 and have been asked to return in 2021. A perfect venue for outdoor music with an enormous covered beer garden and fully equipped stage, The Black Prince holds music events every weekend from April till October.
