Thornby Hall is a fabulous Jacobean Manor House with extensive grounds that lies adjacent to the village of Thornby in Northamptonshire. It is home to the Nagarjuna Buddhist Centre, who host two annual events that feature local acoustic/roots musicians: the WORLD PEACE FETE, held on a Sunday in early July, and the CHRISTMAS FAYRE, held in late November.

Kontra has been organising the music for the World Peace Fete since 2008, in which time it has become a highlight of the local music calendar, providing a relaxing summer day out for the whole family, with food and craft stalls, kids' events, games, and some terrific local music. The Christmas Fayre is a more recent addition and is hosted by local roots band, The Rants, along with guest musicians, who provide an entertaining mix of acoustic music to enhance the festive atmosphere.
